This stretch was incredible and made me wish I was more high.

A weirder version, but Danny was incredible.

Never seen so many phones be pulled out so quickly.

I wish we got the patient or descending, but man, what an incredible show.

So ready for NOLA.

Really hoped they'd work 7empest and/or Lateralus in but that's a solid looking set.

why aren't the playing Lateralus? Saw them in DC and was kinda disappointed cuz that's their best tune. It should be the finale instead of 46&2.

Atlanta show was great. Got there early enough to score a signed poster before they sold out. A few Ebay weasels tried slithering ahead of me on the merch line, and I was having NONE of it, F'n entitled twats lol...

No Peart tribute, but we got a Kobe nod instead. Danny came out in a jersey with his number during the encore, and his name was displayed onscreen at the end of the show.

I suppose I could play the "I wish they played _______" game, but I really couldn't complain about what they DID play.

This is when you know you're at a show seeing a legit band with a legit fanbase: They come out and play a shitload of new material, and the fans actually are excited to hear it

I just looked at the setlist from your show and that's a pretty good one. I'm like you - There's a few I'd love to hear (H., No Quarter, Jimmy, anything from Undertow) but I won't complain. This will be my first time seeing them. I did see Phoenix (I think?) got Swamp Song last week.

What time did Tool start/end?

They came on approx 8:30, forgot exactly when they ended, think it was close to 11 but not quite. They did have an onscreen countdown before the encores, so if you time things right, you could hustle to the restroom and get back without missing anything, lol...

Didn't care for the opener, could clearly hear from the hallway, so I was in no hurry to get to my seat. Sounded like a bunch of random noise. I met up with my buddy for a beverage during the opener, and he told me it was some DJ doing a one-man show. I said judging by the way it sounded, I totally believed there was no more than one person up there

ive seen em twice on this tour so far. the shows all run on the exact same schedule. Tool will get on at 8:45 and end about 11.

ETA: I see this show lists a 8pm start whereas the others have been 7:30. Guess Tool will get on at 9:15 then

bring earplugs if you're gonna sit through Author and Punisher. loud af.

see yall in NOLA this weekend

Give us a review, approximate time each show started, if you don't mind.

Have fun!

No Quarter

Man they opened with No Quarter when i saw them last time they were in Nola for their last tour a few years and that was something I'll never forget. I think next to that, my most "in the vault" experience at a Tool show was when they returned to Nola about a year later to play at Voodoo 2016. I remember expecting a similar setlist to last time (for the most part it was) but i was hoping for something rare. I remember thinking how awesome it would be if they would play something really cool like Third Eye, arguably my favorite Tool song. Somehow, to my surprise, that is exactly what the frick they opened with. Afterwards they continued by playing all the usual, default songs you will always get at one of their shows but the beginning was just mind blowing. Being that we were at Voodoo, I had a feeling a large portion of the crowd didnt even realize what they had witnissed but all the drugs in my system told me not to worry. These days Tool has a way of maintaining this not giving a frick mentality, but still subtly sliding unfathomable gifts under the table to their true fans every now and then, when the timing is right. I feel this usually happens during shows outside of a regular tour schedule (music fests, added tour dates, other occasions, etc). Hoping for a curve ball this Saturday night in Nola as they end this tour, but regardless i will enjoy the associated set list

I was at the show in 2010 in the lakefront arena and we had no idea what the set list would be because it was the first show. They opened with third eye, and played the patient and lateralus.

I dont think they'll ever be a setlist that tops that for me. My favorite 3 TOOL songs. It was incredible.
