They haven't debuted 7empest or Culling Voices yet at all.

Interesting. Any reasons why? 7empest is a top 5 Tool song in my humble opinion. I can’t stop playing it.

Well they probably only rehearse the songs that they plan on playing for the tour and those songs didn’t make the cut I’m guessing.

Just to put this in perspective but they held off for years on ticks and leeches before they rehearsed it good enough to play it

I agree completely. It is my favorite from FI.

I think this must be it. You can tell they hold themselves to a very high standard. They approximated their album sound moreso than any other band I’ve seen when I saw them years ago.

I was pleased with the set list. I wish they’d play a couple more from their first 3 albums but oh well.

Off-topic but...did you post on aperfectcircle.net forums when they were around? If so, I may have found something you'd be interested in. Let me know.

Lollapalooza 93', one hell of a concert. When the first 2 bands are Rage and Tool you know you're in for a show.

Main Stage: Primus, Alice in Chains, Dinosaur Jr., Fishbone, Arrested Development, Front 242, Babes in Toyland, Tool, Rage Against The Machine

This was my 19th Tool show and from I can remember they usually play 2 hours, sometimes a little less. I'd imagine the bassist prefers playing material that he wrote too so Aenima and after. My first Tool show was in 2001 and I wanna say I've seen them play 4 songs off Opiate and either 3 or 4 off Undertow.
I can't see them going over 2 hours considering Danny Carey is 58yrs old and the drumming is a pretty intense cardio workout using all 4 limbs. I do wish they'd change up the setlist a bit more though. Stinkfist shouldn't be used as a closer. Aenima and Lateralus are both better closers and after seeing Pneuma live I'd say that is a better closer than Stinkfist as well.
Sucks that Adams guitar cut out during Jambi. He came back in for the solo but I didn't didn't use the talk box which sucks cuz that makes the fricking solo.

Looked like a bad cable in Houston but that should be a pretty rare thing. Wonder why he doesn't just make the switch to wireless.

Thias2685 had his first Buc-ee's experiences before and after this last Tool concert. And there were a bunch of scantily clad females there. Let's hear it for Thias!

I saw Neal Peart play for 3 hours a few years ago. Age is no excuse.

When they opened their tour in new orleans in 2010 they played third eye as the opener, the patient, and lateralus.

I remember going in not knowing the set list and saying to fellow concert goers I wanted to hear those 3 tracks the most, and I lost my shite when they opened with third eye.

That's insane. Those are 3 of my favorites and I've never heard any of them live. I'm jealous.

Awww, bruh. GG's > Buc-ee's. And how much faith do you still have in Farmer?

Not making excuses. Peart is only like 8 years older than Carey. As much as I love Peart, Carey absolutely transcends him as a percussionist. Anyone who's ever played drums and learned to read music knows that what Carey plays is infinitely more complex as well as more physically exhausting.
