It usually takes me a few listens before I can truly capture the greatness in a Tool album. There's so much to process in them, especially this one with all the long tracks.

Really, really like it after one listen.

Same here.

The d bags on Reddit complaining about this album after the leak can suck my dick. This album is great and 100% Tool. I love it so far.

Just finished my first listen at my desk, so not 100% engaged. Descending, IMO, is the most complete Tool song ever written. 7empest is fricking awesome.

Invincible is great. Written in 7/4 time if I remember right. Tough to jam to but super awesome.

Pneuma is beautiful - a lot like the patient from Lateralus though - same chord progression in some places. slightly different time signature.

This album has a feel like a healthy mix of all their albums' styles. Like it is a final masterpiece. Swan song. I anticipate this being their last album.

Not as intricate and nuanced as Lateralus, but it has a little more edge overall, but less than Aenmia and Opiate/Undertow

I feel like this is their ultimate form. So many musical disciplines rolled into a prog rock legendary album.

I know I'm on TA that whole time. Hopefully they add dates to start next year off.

Tool with Killing Joke? Oh shite, I may have to make this one.

I think it's pretty awesome but when you have a bunch of 10+ minute tracks, the changes and movements become too much like they're forcing every signature Tool riff/sound in each song. It needs like (2) 5 minute gut punch songs ala, Hooker with a Penis, Schism, where it's more straight forward. JMO.

Any Tool is better than no Tool.

7empest might be one of their best songs ever. Holy hell that song took me on a journey. Complete badass.

The musicianship is good, but all the songs sound and are structured the same. Same riffs. Same drum tracks with little variance. I don't get it.

Not saying anyone shouldn't like it. Just very repetitive to me. It is "very Tool" as many have said here.
