I saw them in concert last week and I have to say - I had no idea their drummer had some kind of genetic disorder. It was kind of awkward because the venue was so intimate and I and buddy and I went to relive our college days and be obnoxious drunks, but having that weird looking drummer guy 20 feet away all night was kind of a buzzkill. Also the crowd in general was completely dorky and depressing. I wasn't expecting 20 year old sorority chicks by any means but yikes.
I'm happy that he's overcome his challenges and carved out a cool life for himself but all I did was feel bad for him all night.

Seriously, man? You get to see toadthewetsprocket live and the best you can do is feel pity for an accomplished musician who has lived a highly successful life?

First time I heard them was on the Adam Carolla show and they sounded pretty damn good. I felt ashamed I hadn't heard of them before.

Saw them in Chattanooga last summer. Was a great show and I enjoyed every bit of it. The crowd was much bigger than I anticipated and was really into the music.

Group first gained notoriety when the leader, Glen Phillips, was freaking 16yrs old. Their 1991 album, Fear, was controversial because of the song "Hold Her Down" which some people erroneously claimed to support rapists (its an anti-rape song). Good group. Need to give their new album a listen.

BTW. . . Toad and Wet Sprocket is a pretty underrated band. Haven't heard any of their new stuff. May have to check it out.

Havent heard them in years..... a friend in college really loved Pale and a couple of their early records and always played them
But I always found their brand of medium tempo alt rock to be fairly palatable...
Actually saw them w/the gin blossoms at the varsity in the early 90s... didnt mind either band..

If you don't have it, I highly recommend getting it. One of the best albums of the 90s

Dulcinea, Fear, Coil were all incredible albums. Toad is in my top 10 bands. I stupidly didn't attend their HOB concert a year or so ago
