This may be the best true rock album.

No keyboards, not overproduced, just straight ahead rock with incredible riffs, leads and vocals !

RIP Bon, you were the real deal.

Not a bad song on the album.

My personal favorite:
Shot Down in Flames

Although Let There Be Rock may be my favorite of theirs. Such a close call. No holds barred rock and roll at its best.

That's my 2nd favorite album of theirs. Bad Boy Boogie, Let There Be Rock, Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, Whole Lotta Rosie.

The Bon Scott era of AC/DC was incredible.

Yes, probably my favorite frontman. Had it all: the voice, the swagger, the steely confidence in front of an audience. Never got to see him live. Was crushed as a teen hearing from a friend about his death. Oh, what could have been after HTH.

I love some AD/DC but...

ETA: Early J Geils Band was amazing stuff.

By Joe, you may right.

I’ll say this, Powerage and Highway to Hell are arguably the best 1-2 punch ever released. They didn’t f*ck around.

Very good choice but just as good if not better in my opinion. Kind of obvious but the grittiness puts it over the top for me.

This is a rocking classic from start to finish. Rick Rubin fixed it up real good from how it started out.

Journey with “Evolution”

Aerosmith with “Tous In. The Attic”.

Both true classics. Not a bad song on either one......

Till this day, I still can remember all the words to every song.

I wonder how many times I listened to it.

She was standing alone over by the jukebox
Like she's something to sell
I said, Baby what's the going price
She told me to go to hell

Bon Scott died the only proper way a rock star could die.

Such a great album! I feel like it gets overlooked because of Back in Black. Touch Too Much, Beating Around the Bush, and Walk all Over You are all super underrated tracks

I mean, they have 5-6 good songs...classic even. But their entire body of work is quite sub-par, IMO. Drums are boring. Bass is pretty boring. I always remind people that when they were putting out their 1325th sexual double entendre for 15 year old idiots (Sink the Pink) a 22 year old James Hetfield was in the studio crafting Master of Puppets. AC/DC is C-list at best.

When my friend was 15 yrs old, his mother bought him a '78 gold T/A (and bought herself a '79 gold T/A as well ). I was already 16, so I got to drive us around until he got his license. We'd go cruising on the weekends and blasting the Highway to Hell album. I still remember hearing Girls Got Rhythm, Touch Too Much, and Night Prowler blasting out of the speakers. Good times.

Have always thought AC/DC as one of the more overrated bands.

A kid I knew got a new Firebird in the 80s, and I have a similar memory of cruising around one night blasting the Back in Black cassette.
