There is a common thread between Boys 'Round Here and 1994 (besides the fact that they suck).
Both were co-written by Thomas Rhett, the son of Rhett Akins (That Ain't My Truck).
I don't know if he is actively rebelling against his dad's music and writing these shite songs on purpose or if he just sucks as a song writer.

It pains me to say, but Rhett Akins has written his share of current Nashville Country hits too. He has written multiple hits for Blake Shelton, including Honey Bee. He also wrote Rodney Atkins' recent hit Farmer's Daughter (although I'll admit to liking this one - its catchy).
