I saw Kevn Kinney and Peter Buck play The MacDougal Blues album at Murphy's back in the day..
I was right there next to you. The Fall of '90. I found some old ticket stubs the other day. I may post pics. A few of them were Drivin-n-Cryin shows.
I saw Widespread at Fred's and Blues Traveler opened. I think it was the fall of 90 or 91.

nice, I used to have tons of ticket stubs, etc... not sure where they are, best bet is in Mom's attic... no way in hell I'm going up there...

She gave me back my box after I bought a house, Cleaning out the attic I went through it. Had some cassette tapes, ticket stubs, and concert shirts. I think most of my concert stubs ended up washed in pants, lost, who knows, but I still have some good ones.

As far as jamming goes, however, they are downright awful and boring as hell.
Ahhh but not back in the 90's. There used to be some downright trippy stuff back then. I'd say 2000 was the peak and downhill every since Mikey got sick.

'97, '99, and '01 are Panic's peak live years.
Some people go fruit over Sit n' Ski in '96.

I actually like studio WSP better than their live output. I think Space Wrangler is the best thing they ever did.
I guess their live shows can be fun and energetic at points when they bust out a cool cover and/or some rarity. As far as jamming goes, however, they are downright awful and boring as hell.
pretty much this. it was fun seeing them in the bar/club days, when they were still winging it somewhat....but as soon as they moved to bigger venues & convinced themselves they were a jam band, it became a struggle to enjoy. hauser (rest his soul) bored me to tears as a lead guitarist, and the band was kryptonite for any guitarist taking his place. before people accuse me of talking out of my arse, i probably saw WSP 25-30 times up to 1998 (including NYE '94 & '96), the final time being at the free show in athens....after seeing many other jam shows, i quit seeing 'em after realzing they were "diet dead" in comparison. but yes, those first few studio albums ARE quite enjoyable, even now....
