I received a gift a while back of an album to store all my old ticket stubs in. So I was going through them all sticking them in the album and I ran across the Zeppelin stub. I was floored at how cheap that show was.
Side note: I also was amazed at the number of shows that I had ticket stubs from but didn't remember going to the show.

I was at that AC/DC concert in the Centroplex in 81/82?
I was there as well.
I advocate played a major part publishing that article with front page pictures of a 15 year old kid covered in puke passed out on the floor.
Not to mention this was right about the time that 11 people were killed in the stampede at a Who concert in Cincinnati.

Minds were blown
The headline in the Reveille review the next day said "Grateful Dead Bores Many, Excites Few". According to the Shakedown Street tour crowd it was the best show on the tour. I flunked two mid-terms the next day, but $10 got me a ticket and a tour shirt which I still have.

One of their most popular songs, Truckin, is about a show in New Orleans.
What is your point?

I think the Dead played that Prarieville Pop Festival too.

Fact. I have that show somewhere in my stacks. It was OK at best. 10/17/77 plays back much better than the performance I remember seeing. It was Bob's 30th Bday. I think they may have been a little high. The Reveille article also stated that Donna stole the show.

Understatement of the year.

I know im in the minority, but i always enjoyed donna when she was on, problem was that she was frequently off key. Not her fault imo though.

I read online that the Pink Floyd pig got loose in the PMAC once and was flying around fricking shite up. The most amazing part of that story to me was that pink Floyd once played at LSU
I actually have a recording of this Floyd show. The quality sucks but I couldn't pass up a copy of the animals tour in the pmac!
