I feel like this band gets marginal appreciation but nowhere near what they deserve. This song is one of my favorites.

Although the radio plays their greatest hits, they have other gems that definitely fly under the radar such as Silver Springs, Seven Wonders, Paper Doll, Sara, Skies the Limit, and Songbird.

Then you have Stevie Nicks with Rooms on Fire and Leather and Lace which are outstanding and like you said are under appreciated.

Love Fleetwood Mac. Very talented parts and as a whole. Good topic. So versatile and talented band of musicians.

They were arguably the hottest thing going for a few years. They are definitely not under appreciated.

Yep, great band especially with Peter Green and up until they ran out of Buckingham/Nicks original (pre FM) material which is everything released after Rumours. At what point they became which even bother listening for the most part.

IMOYMMV

I’m a big fan of their music and I don’t think they are under appreciated. Rumors is always listed in the top 5 of best albums ever and many consider it the best.

I think more overplayed than underappreciated. The radio just made fans saturated with their music so some people take shots.

A 15-20 minute Live Fleetwood Mac YouTube wormhole is a well spent few minutes IMO.

IS a great guitarist, and now back on tour
hard to say a band with one of the top 2 or 3 selling albums of all time is under appreciated in any way. When the story of popular music is told Fleetwood Mac in all its iterations will be front and center

two (or more) completely different bands with completely different careers and musical impact

I loved British blues, which is why the early FM is my favorite lineup with Peter Green. I also enjoyed a lot of Danny Kirwan's time with the band, later with Bob Welch as well. But FM went thru so many changes and by the time Buckingham/Nicks joined, they should have just become a different named band. Amazing how a strict blues band became such a commercial, soft rock type band over the years...
