Good band , but wouldn't have been like wings because John's influence would have meant neither John or Paul dominant with their own sound.
Again, the four together had a wonderful sound. This cannot be stated enough. Billy Preston was a nice addition, wasn´t he?
Nevertheless, it surely would have been a waning shitshow. John would certainly have tried to fop Yoko on them (with his compositions), and that would have been commercially disastrous. Paul would have fopped Linda Eastman Kodak on them, and that would have been creatively disastrous.
Ringo would never had done Back Off Bugaloo, and George, well, he would have never produced his solo masterpieces.

The only song I like by Ringo is "It don't come easy" but I saw an interview with Ringo on VH1 a while back and he said that George helped him write it

Back Off Bugaloo was probably his own, but George did play on it. Again, had they stayed together, Back Off would have never existed.

And George truly did record masterpieces. Agreed. Really enjoyed the cable (forget which network)on his life and career last year.

Howard Stern's interview of Donovan this week was so good. Great songwriting insight. Tons of good Beatles stuff, especially related to the India trip.

Until last night I only thought Harrison had died of cancer.
I never knew a crazy bastard tried to kill him too. Stabbed 40 times with a kitchen knife?
Wtf did The Beatles do to make crazy fricks hate them so much? What happened to the attacker?

Back in the mid 70s, promoters were offering the Beatles then unheard of sums to perform one reunion concert. Saturday Night Live did a skit mocking the offering and jokingly offering the group $10 to play on the show. In an interview with McCartney, he claimed that all other members of the group coincidentally were in NYC that night and that he reached out to the other three to show up unannounced. He further claimed that he had Harrison on board, who in turn had Ringo ready. They could not get ahold of Lennon, and decided against doing it unless the whole group appeared.

That attack didn't kill him. He recovered from that but ultimately succumbed to cancer.

Was the cancer discovered as a result of the attack and following exams and surgery? I am going off of Wikipedia here so I ask you?

Discovery of the cancer was unrelated. But, read an interview with his son who claimed that he was weaker as a result of the attack, and he believes that is why the cancer killed him.

Not acting like its outlandish
All Things Must Pass is a great album and it might be the best post Beatles solo album by a former Beatle, but I think this has lead to a kind of trendy view that somehow George was really the best Beatle.
Lennon/McCartney did most of the creating for the Beatles. They wrote some of the greatest pop songs ever. They are reason the Beatles became what they did. Maybe you could argue they didn't let George do enough, but their work with in the Beatles far surpasses Harrison's Beatle work. And what besides ATMP did he do post Beatles? Lennon/McCartney did more good stuff even post Beatles, certainly McCartney, even if GH did the best single post Beatles album. It's not a knock on George, like its not a knock to say Joe Dimaggio is not the best Yankee.
