Looking for info on this place. Considering a road trip to catch a show and wondering if the GA floor is a must or if the reserved seating is the way to do. Any info would be appreciated..
It's the Slash and the Conspirators show in August.
TIA

Great venue. Literally an old church. I saw Sturgill play there twice. To me, GA floor is the only way to go. Reserved is in a balcony and feels disconnected. Maybe someone else can provide good guidance for parking because that seemed to be a minor challenge in downtown ATL.

It is a phenomenal venue. The reserved seating are good seats, but like most places like this, generally isn't going to be as lively. If you want to really experience the show, floor would be best.
As for parking, last time I was there, there was a deck very close by that I was able to buy a parking ticket for prior to the show. The area is pretty congested, so parking is somewhat an issue.

Buy a parking ticket when you purchase your tix, or Uber there. Great venue.

Thanks for the info. Pictures looked interesting and we are normally GA floor people. I saw Slash/Myles in Houston at the HOB a few months back and the floor area was huge and packed (unlike a place like the House of Blues in New Orleans)....just didn't know what to expect from the Tabernacle.
Parking.....will probably just MARTA to the Omni and walk to the venue

The Omni is no more but CNN Center is. It should not be overly crowded on the floor.

The Omni venue is long gone but I'm sure he's talking about the Omni Hotel at CNN Center

Definitely do floor then. The picture I posted doesn't quite do the floor justice. It is bigger than that picture makes it look. I'm sure it will be crowded as any good concert is, but i've been to a couple shows there that were sold out and the floor was still manageable.

Awesome venue. Balcony/VIP areas have your own bar, bathroom, and place to smoke a cig if you do.

Fantastic venue. I saw Lamb Of God there in 2016 and then a couple of weeks later saw Wilco there. Was on the floor for LoG and up high for Wilco. If you’re already a GA floor type then by all means do that. I’m the same way. Much prefer it and it was great there.
We ubered to both shows from our hotel so I’m of no help with parking.

Been there many times....Queensryche, Megadeth, Gary Clark Jr. GA is the way to go. More energy down there. I’d Uber there and after the show walk to Park Bar or Landmark Diner, grab something to eat, then get an Uber from there. Might be a challenge getting one at the tabernacle after the show.

Been a gnr/ slash fan for a long time. I've seen slash and Myles 5 times in different places and really dig their stuff. They never disappoint.. Tons of energy

Cool place. I have been in there several times. They open it sometimes as a pregame party venue before sporting events in the Georgia Dome such as SEC Championship games and basketball tournaments.

Excellent venue. I saw a band there some years back called Metalsome Monday. They were live band karaoke and it was the most fantastic experience ever. It was a corporate event but they specialized in 70’s and 80’s hard rock and metal. You were on stage singing karaoke with the tv monitors and a talented live band playing the song behind you. If you had any problems during your performance they had a frontman who would swoop in and help you. Great acoustics in there and a very intimate setting. Reminded me a little bit of The Varsity. Highly recommend it.
