I was pretty young when this song was released in April 1972 - 20 and a junior in college.
Now, I am on the eve of my 67th birthday and about a month away from being a grandfather for the first time.
I still feel like a kid and, for better or worse, I still often act like one.
But it's clear to me that I'm now the one being sung to rather than singing:
