Is criminally underrated.
Buffalo Springfield, Super Session w/ Bloomfield and Kooper, Manassas, CSN,
Stills-Young Band, solo and most recently with Judy Collins.

And how about his Hammond B3 workl!

This guy is something else.

Hendrix knew.

Is known/renowned as being a fantastic guitarist, but I especially like his voice on Dark Star & Southern Cross

I like him he’s put out a bunch of good music. I remember hearing that when he was at LSU he used to go to the Purple Peacock in Eunice to listen to the bands that played there back in the day.

Masterpiece indeed.

The Purple Peacock, and the site of Jay”s Lounge should be designated official Louisiana historical landmarks.

I have the 4 disc Stills box-set and it is incredible. The instrumentation and production on his music is second only to Steely Dan. Big fan of him and all of his groups, especially Springfield, CSNY, and Manassas. I have pretty much everything they've all put out, at least pre-1990s and some stuff after.

There's a good book I'm reading about CSNY by David Browne. Also, the book about Neil Young called Shakey is great and talks a lot about Stills and mostly in a nice way.

Nope

I still frequently listen to one.... not so much the other since the mid 1970's.

I've been saying for years that Stills blows Clapton away when it comes to musicianship. His guitar licks do much more for me.

Saw him in 1993 when he opened a new restaurant, Tu Can Du, at the corner of Iberville and Decatur. He played a show outdoors on Iberville and there couldn't have been 200 folks out there watching.

It was awesome.

(The set, not the restaurant--that sucked and closed within months. Small plates for big money.)

Here's the only shot I could find online of that time--him sitting in a booth at the restaurant.

I think you mean just CS&N.

Stephen Stills is a favorite of mine also.

Underrated and I feel Like the fact that he went to LSU doesn’t get brought up a lot.
