Just announced. A 5 disc set including electric Nebraska recorded with the E Street Band and outtakes. I'm excited for this. I know how most of you feel about Springsteen but most people agree that Nebraska is his best work.

Nebraska is great but I've never heard a great album that was enhanced by all the extra songs on a re-issue so hard pass.

Love the original album. Will wait for Spotify for the new songs. That Tracks II box set he did had like two good songs on it (Blind Spot and One Love and maybe Unsatisfied Heart) despite being 7 cd's long. I would hate to spend that much money on the cd box to find out it is not that good.

I didn't but the Tracks 2 set because it was so many albums but I liked a lot off of The Streets of Philadelphia sessions.

You had to pull that quote out of your arse. From 1975 to 1984 which is the decade 90% of his best stuff came from Nebraska is easily, easily, easily, easily the worst album he put out and is a top seed in the most depressing album ever released tournament bracket. The only two songs on it I can even listen to are Atlantic City and Open All Night. Everything else is so depressing, slow, and booooooooooooooooooooooring. Give me Born to Run and Born in the U.S.A. all day any day over Nebraska. I think Darkness on the Edge of Town and The River are both uneven albums with as many bad songs on them as good songs but the good songs on those albums are better than the good songs on Nebraska and the bad songs on those albums are nowhere near as bad as the bad songs on Nebraska.

You pulled that outta your retard arse. The vast majority of people and critics put Nebraska in his top 3 albums.

It's pretty much an acknowledged classic.

OK, already i like this version of Born in the USA. Also, Nebraska is a great album and arguably his best with Darkness and The River.

I have never liked Springsteen, and it has nothing to do with his political opinions.

Outside of a few songs, I can't listen to him.

I do like 10th Avenue Freeze Out

Im not sure I have a favorite Bruce record, but Nebraska is up there... It's also generally thought of as "the one record people like, who otherwise don't like Springsteen.." I can't tell you how many time Ive heard that qualifier...

Anyway, for fans of the record I highly suggest Warren Zanes book on it that came out a couple of years back Deliver Me From Nowhere. This is what that upcoming movie is based on...

I like this take.

But I also like Nebraska. Used Car, State Trooper, Johnny 99. I'll admit, I need to be a mood to hear it though.

You had the huge hype of Born to Run, the long delay before Darkness (which was a great album) then all of the material on the double album The River that got lots of radio airplay. Nobody really expected the next record to be stripped down, all acoustic and recorded at home on a 4-track.

Lots of great songs, many mentioned by others. Reason to Believe is haunting and deep. Highway Patrolman, Atlantic City, Used Cars, are all great.

Grew up with him and had every album he every made through BITUSA.

I'm not a fan of Nebraska at all. Literally just queued it up this week to listen on Spotify while driving to work and wasn't impressed again. BTR and Darkness are his best albums and there should be no real argument. Give me any of this first five albums over Nebraska.
