She continues to refine her songwriting ability and demonstrates a continuing maturity in her lyrics and production. It’s a very good pop album.

I watched a 45 minute block of her vids on MTV this weekend. And though I enjoy her more than say Katy Perry, both are better looking via video than are my cup of tea musically.
Some Pink tunes resonate better with me, of say comparable genre artists greatest hits.
I'm more of a Lana Del Rey or Alicia Keys fan of same ballpark artists.
Courtney Barnett my fav female artist of the last five years.

My friend’s wife had the new album on at their house this weekend (cringe), and I thought it was awful. It sounds like all the other overproduced, formulaic pop bullshite out there. Also, what as a man do you identify with in her music? I’m genuinely curious.

never listened to her since that commercial you can't avoid and that song is really awful.

Maybe while enjoying a warm Summer's Eve with a Zima in hand.

Since Tay Tay announced she is oppressed (while wearing thousand dollar shoes and a three thousand dollar coat)...
That picture is priceless, BTW...
And not to mention hates anyone who doesn't vote like her, our household, which included an 8yo female, have opted to remove her from the playlist.
Daddy is not upset by this at all! Frick TSwift and her self righteous BS.

You need to calm down.

It's crap
...as is all of her stuff.

I find her very physically attractive. But if I was presented with a deal where I could plow her eight ways from Sunday and all I'd have to do to make it happen is listen to her music, I'd have to turn it down. I just don't hear what some others are obviously hearing. It's like musical rice cakes to my ears.

her older stuff was much better lyrically...
All too well maybe one of my favorite songs of all time.
But a bunch of these are wayyyy too poppy and i listened to them once and have no plans to listen too again
Some highlights for me were
Cornelia Street
Afterglow
The archer

Do you drink the douche or the Zima?

Cornelia Street is a great song.
The Man is rubbish and the topic so tired, particularly when sung by her as if she's a helpless victim.

It's a good album, with about 5 or so really good songs that live up to the Swift name. But it doesn't come close to being a solidified hit like Red or 1989. Most noticeably is the lyric decline. There is a lot of cringe, pander-esque moments. Name dropping Leo and Drake isn't Taylor Swift. Hard to believe this is the same girl that wrote Red.
The good songs,
-Cruel Summer
-Miss Americana and the Heart Break Prince
-Lover
-Paper Rings (the best)
-Cornelia Street

Well if you have to ask, the douche usually drinks the Zima.

Look, I'm not a big Swift fan and don't know enough about her music to really opine. I haven't really heard this album other than a few snippets.
It does sound like a solid pop album from what I've heard.
I'll express a probably unpopular opinion too, pop music is hard to make. There aren't a lot of artists that have charted as consistently over the time span Swift has.
She's not my cup of tea, but I respect what she's done.

Album sounds like a bad ripoff of Lorde and Haim
