I got floor tickets for Boston. Guess I'm making a trip and will see the Red Sox at Fenway while I'm there. Very excited.

How much were they?

Tickets haven’t gone on sale yet for AZ show.

$150 after all the fees. $125 is face value. I was on the site as soon as they went live and it still took a while to load and everything. I got the last section on the floor. Guess the scalpers and their bots got the first sections on the floor as there are already a ton of floor seats on Stubhub.

I was expecting the price to be inflated, and it was. $85 per ticket after fees for level 3 pricing. So basically, I'm in the furthest section up in the building, but toward the front of that section, which is to the side of the stage. If I wanted floor seats, I would have to shell out nearly $300 for a pair. I think they aren't going to sell out, given this price range.

That's crazy. I think it was about $60 to see them with Marilyn Manson a few years ago.

I got lower level right near the stage(total $291 for 2 tickets with all the damn fees). Could have gotten floor....but like row 46.

Figured would have a much better view with the lower level ones.

And I was on the site/app watching the time count down. fricking scalpers.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I jumped on right when tix for Houston went on sale today. 4th row was available. I was so shocked and surprised that I entered the wrong expiration date on my credit card. I lost that spot and had to try again. We lost about 30 rows in the 30 seconds of confusion. Oh well. At least we still got pretty good spots on the floor.

Is Chamberlin clean again? I saw a video of him from 2017 and he looked healthy.

Yes and has been for a very long time...like late 90's when he joined back with the band.

Tickets were weird for this tour, as there really weren't your typical presales (only season ticket holders for each particular venue)... But, those people bought up the entire floor for Austin, there was literally nothing. Houston, there were tons of floor, and still are.

Definitely very $$$$$ this go-round too

Wondering what happens to this tour is the ticket sales remain this way. Most arenas I have seen still have 3/4 of the tickets remaining. Bet a groupon or price drop is coming soon. If they still don't sell very well, then they will probably try to downgrade the venue or cancel some of the shows that haven't sold at all.

Looking at Glendale and Detroit and hardly any tickets have been sold at all.

I just think they really overshot their target price for this, and it pissss me off. I paid $125 total for a pair of tickets to Paul McCartney 5 years ago at the same venue. This was probably one of the biggest shows at the venue in its history. Granted, these were the lowest price seats, but I can’t believe I just paid $50 more for a pair of slightly better seats to smashing pumpkins. This reunion is a big deal but come on.

Look on SP's fb page. Lots of people bitching about the tickets and how floor seats sold out in minutes and up on stubhub in seconds.

For the AZ show they still have floor seats available at face value....but it is like row 47. No thanks. I've done that for other concerts thinking "yay I'm on the floor" and couldn't see crap all night and was jealous of the people in the lower section closer to the stage.

Another post on their fb...a proposed list of songs they are gonna built their set with....DO I SEE MAYONAISE???!! YES I DOOOOOOOO!!!
>

This was posted with that...

quote:

“The other day, I shared a set of ours from 1995. Which surprisingly engendered a lot of interest, and it got me thinking why not share our pool of PROPOSED songs (meaning the list we'll use to build The Shiny and Oh So Bright set, so these aren't in any particular order). And since we are a bit aways from going into rehearsals, and I'm sure we've missed a favorite or two, tag me @williampcorgan @jamesihaofficial @chamberdrums and @jjjschroeder as well as @smashingpumpkins or #smashingpumpkins and most importantly #SP2018 with a screen cap of what you'd like to hear. But remember, the goal is to build an epic set! So choose wisely.” - William Patrick Corgan

ETA: In case you haven't guessed by now...Mayonaise is my all time favorite SP song ever. My go to "happy place" song.

That set list looks awesome and I would be thrilled if that was similar to what they played. I’m with you on Mayonnaise. Such a good song.

Corgan has bitched in the past about wanting to play more of the newer stuff live instead of just the hits. He said you're not a real fan if you only want the hits. Obviously with these ticket prices and a potential setlist heavy on their early stuff he's only doing this tour for the money.

Don’t care. I’ll allow it. I also think he was more complaining about people shouting requests. Most artists aren’t fond of being puppets. This tour is about playing songs from a specific time period. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

ETA- Corgan has also changed a ton as a person in the last few years. Watching his Facebook live tour of the south last year was really cool.

It's my all time favorite song, by anyone...ever. They did a nice acoustic version of it on the tour from two years ago!

Wow they sold out their L.A. and Chicago shows and announced on their fb that they are adding second shows in those 2 cities.
Here is an article about it

According to The Pulse Of Radio, tickets for the upcoming SMASHING PUMPKINS tour featuring three-quarters of the original lineup are not selling as well as expected. While tickets have moved briskly in top markets like Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, along with cities such as Duluth, Uncasville, Kansas City, and Austin, they're much slower in other cities like Miami, Glendale, Louisville, Salt Lake City, and Portland.

A vast majority of seats are still available in all those markets, along with places like Pittsburgh, Detroit and Omaha. One Twitter user pointed out that New York's Madison Square Garden "still has a decent amount of tickets available," adding that sales for the tour opener in Arizona were "weak." Another user pointed out that "very little tickets" have been sold in Sacramento, Seattle, Indianapolis and Columbus.

There is speculation that sales were dragged down by the public feuding between frontman Billy Corgan and founding bassist D'arcy Wretzky, who won't be on the tour. Wretzky claims that she was given an offer to rejoin the band which was later rescinded. In addition, some tickets are going for as much as $550.

The lackluster sales might also explain why Corgan is reaching out to fans online asking them to help him build the tour's setlist.
