I wonder who sold the band the idea that people would pay top dollar for their "sort of" reunion and would fill stadiums / arenas.

I wouldn’t say terrible. Just inconsistent. They were great at Municipal Auditorium in 1991 (opening for RHCP). Were ok in 1993 in Biloxi, and terrible for 94 Lollapalooza. In all fairness though, they should have never put Beastie Boys ahead of Smashing Pumpkins. Just not a good flow from one to the other. And Billy knew it and acted pissy towards the crowd because of it.
I’m considering going to this. Wish D’Arcy was with them though. Would love to see Urge Overkill as the opening act. Two Chicago bands on reunion.
