How do they stack up against similar priced guitars?

Built by Cor-tek in Indonesia and off the charts for value, simply exceptional guitars for their asking prices. The ones that have crossed my bench just needed setup refreshes after crossing the big pond, nothing else.

Quality of Sire is usually pretty good. Their Marcus Miller basses have been great.

Great, I've got my eye on one of their jazzmaster style ones.

I've read good things about them, which FretShack just confirmed.

I recently got a Sire MM v7 bass. Wanted another active jazz as a backup and maybe to try some preamps in. The bass is way better than it has any right to be at the price point. Preamp is ok but weird and the input jack is going bad already. But the pickups, fit, finish and looks are top notch. Came set up well too.

So, maybe a few small quality issues, but you’ll get more than what you pay.

Further echoing what has already been said...haven't played the LC model, but have played multiple iterations of the Sire bass line and they punch way above their weight in value. Played a couple new, right of the box and it was literally tune up and run with.
