The band's official Twitter account shared a concerned message Wednesday saying Hutchison, 36, has been missing "for a little while now" and his bandmates are growing increasingly worried. "He may be in a fragile state and may not be making the best decisions for himself right now. Please could Scott or anyone with any information on his whereabouts please contact Police Scotland (101)," the tweet read. Frightened Rabbit doubled down on its plea hours later, sharing an Instagram post of a smiling Hutchison and urging fans to contact his brother and bandmate Grant with any information.

Hope they find him, seems like a good dude.

I've always been a fan of theirs. And have regretted not seeing them when they played at Spanish Moon. I hope he's ok.

Has anyone checked the rabbit hole ?

All joking aside, prayers sent up that he is found safe. Does Hutchison have a history of depression ? Seems like musicians these days decide to check out claiming they can no longer deal with life.

Yeah, I really didn't expect this to end well. Hoped, but didn't expect.

Always kind of struck me like he did. That or a history of substance abuse (or both).

I was hoping for a better ending even though this seemed the likely outcome. RIP to a great song writer.

This is awful. He was a profoundly good songwriter. RIP Scott.

Damn, that sucks.

Listening to The Midnight Organ Fight right now, such a great album.

Floating in the Forth Is now an absolutely devastating song.

Modern Leper, too. That has always been my favorite FR song, but it is dripping with self-loathing.

But yeah, the “I think I’ll save suicide for another day” lyric in Floating in the Forth is really tough to listen to now.

One of my all-time favorite bands. It's almost impossible to listen to their last album right now, which reads now like a suicide note....

It was dawn. And the kitchen light was still on
I stepped in, found the suicide asleep on the floor
An open mouth, screams and makes no sound
Apart from the ring of the tinnitus of silence
You had your ear to the ground

White noise. I don’t know if there’s breathing or not
Butterflied arms
Tell me that this one has flown
Blood seems black
Against the skin of your porcelain back
A still life is the last I will see of you
A painting of a panic attack

You died in my sleep last night.
You died in your sleep last night.
We died in our sleep last night.
(Even now, when asleep, I’ll tread with care.)
(continues)

Death dreams you don’t forget.
It’s been a while since I dreamed this.
Even now, when asleep, I’ll tread with care

Same here. Still haven't gotten past Modern Leper. I just keep hitting repeat.

quote:

Am I ready to leap
Is there peace beneath
The roar of the Forth road bridge?

Jesus Christ.
