Of the 3 songs out, I liked Wolves, but the other two have been so so for me.
I'm a fan of his, so I'm hoping it's just something about those two tracks.

I kind of agree with this. Some of his stuff since then has taken a few spins to grow on me. Haven’t listened to this one yet but will.

Im two songs in, and its bad, and this is after being disappointed by Tedeschi today. is Hayes Carll the only hope for today?

Listening more, most of the songs are misses for me.
I do like What Would I've Become, America and (still) Wolves, but the rest really isn't connecting for me. The lyrics in America are a little heavy handed for me, but it isn't bad. I probably won't come back to the remainder.

Will never be the same without the Dead Horses and to a lesser extent, Marc Ford/Tbone Burnett...
Tomorrowland was inconceivably bad, but I thought the last album was much better and has several songs I enjoy.

I disagree with most of the opinions in here. After a few listens, I think it's really good. The second half is better than the first. Way better than the previous record.
