"We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top'. We will forever be connected to that "Blues Shuffle in C.”
You will be missed greatly, amigo.

ZZ is on a huge 50+ date Tour through Spring 2022. Tonight they were scheduled to play in SC, and 4 upcoming concerts in AL, MS, AR, LA (Ellick) over the next week. This statement was just released about Dusty's current medical condition and hip problem.

Wow, I am shocked to see this news! Granted, I know Dusty was getting up in age, but still, it is definitely a tragic loss all the same. Very sorry for his friends and family. RIP Dusty

Wow - RIP Dusty. Saw them live a handful of times over the years and they never disappointed. Just watched their documentary on Netflix a couple of weeks ago.

That sucks.
I had to sneak out of the house the first time I saw ZZ Top live. 1981 El Loco tour. I was living in West University at the time. I climbed out my bedroom window and rode my Mongoose BMX bike to the Summit to meet my friends. Good times!

ZZ Top is one of my GOAT bands. I send my condolences to his cousin, Hank, and the rest of the Hill family in this time of sorry. Dusty Hill is why I learned how to play the bass.
