Dusty's family (tons of cousins aunt's and uncles) are from a little town across the Alabama state line in Flintville, Tennessee. It's just a few miles north of Hazel Green, Alabama.

I went to school with a few of them, and went backstage in Huntsville several years back thanks to them.

One night we played a honky tonk in Winchester, TN and his first cousin was leaning against a pool table and I really thought it was Dusty. My guitarist got a big laugh when he saw my expression.
Not positive, but I believe he was born down here and moved to Texas early on.
