Rest in Power Ozzy. Loved his solo stuff and of course, Black Sabbath. Even named my dog Ozzy.
Will be missed.

In the very early 70s my older brother came home with the first album
I was very young but listen to it and thought it was brilliant
War pigis pretty darn relevant today

Admiral Benbow Hotel
There was an Admiral Benbow Motel or Inn in Memphis that I stayed at one time. I was a broke college student seeing a concert at Mud Island and it was hands down the sketchiest place I have ever stayed. Thanks for the fun memory. Ah to be a broke college student again…

My 2 favorite lead singers, Ozzy and Ronnie James Dio, are both gone now...sad days.

42 years ago, ozzy peed on the alamo. Went straight to jail. Paid his $40. bond and then bragged about what he did at a concert that night. Thank you for your attention.

Then he took a straw
and snorted .... ants.
That's rock, baby, pure unadulterated rebellion from norms. Name me a performer today that would do that.

This has sucked. There have been few that have gotten me like this.
Prince
Chris Squire
Neil Peart
EVH
Ozzy
Just absolute titans of fricking music.
But, I still feel blessed along with the emptiness. We are so blessed to live in a time where though these titans are gone, they still play and sing to me daily in my earbuds. I can pull them up in my phone at any time. This helps ease the pain and emptiness and lets us celebrate their greatness rather than endlessly mourn their loss.
And props to my kids. They don’t know Ozzy like I do, but they know he was an icon and they show respect. I remember feeling the same way when Elvis and Lennon died in my youth and just realizing there was a void in the world.
RIP Blizzard!
