I built this one. It’s finally done. First ever so be kind. It’s trying to be a 000-28.

How does it play and sound? That's the only thing that's important. Building one is a pretty good accomplishment.

It holds tune. Thin responsive top. Can do arm Whammy bar. But it is still a first build. Many issues when playing. Sharp fret ends. Barely skewed neck. Bass string is closer to the edge than the treble side.

Would love to send it to Fret. He could write a dissertation on the atrocities within my first build.

've heard good things about Blueridge as well but never played one.

Blueridge = Eastman IMO when you get a good one.

I believe Eastmans are more consistently excellent across the board, but if you get a good Blueridge you have just as good as an Eastman.

My BR-160 has gotten me many offers. I say its not for sale and they counter like I am bargaining. LOL

The real reason I don’t play it is because it won’t stay in tune
thats always my 1st concern when it comes to any guitar.

Huge pet peeve of mine & useless in a studio. Guitars that won't stay in tune should be reserved for breaking onstage. They have 1 job, if they can't do that then they have to pay the price with public execution.

Have you tried a guitar with an evertune bridge? If not you should give it a go.

Posting my own pics is a massive PITA, so here are some Google image search results that look very similar to my guitars:

MVG Les Paul: Mine is a little more aqua green colored, has a zebra gibson classic 57 humbucker in the bridge, and has completely different inlays.

Fender American Standard Telecaster

Ibanez 12 String Acoustic/Electric

Alvarez Classical Guitar: mine has way more wear and tear.

Arbor Les Paul: mine has chrome hardware instead of gold plus black nobs and a pearly gates pickup in the neck position

Yeah the 7 string i have there has one, they are great for some things but I pull on the strings a lot and distress certain chords with in and out slow bends alot, and with an evertune its difficult for me to get the same sound.

That is exactly like my first guitar. I learned on it and every fretboard since has seemed small. My brother pawned it when I left it at my parents house when I was in between apartments back in my college days. He never apologized or replaced it and still doesn't understand that's why I am pissed at him 40 years later!!

Understandable. Setting the tension to allow for vibrato on an evertune can be a balancing act on certain guitars.

You didn't happened to pick that up at a pawn shop in NOLA did you?

No. Mine was passed down to me by my mother who bought it in the late 70’s.

It does look great and plays well, but I'm not happy with the pickups. I'll replace those at some point.

Are they crappy pick ups, or just not a fit, for the sound you're wanting?

I had to put a lot of work into it to get it close to right.

Would you mind elaborating a bit? I would like to know what I might be up against, if I order one of theirs.

Why do we hate bass players? I feel unrepresented and would like my reparations for this injustice here.

Put one in my Explorer just for rhythm tracks. Obviously more gain but those upper mids we all want bite like a motherfricker. I see why Hetfield has always used them
