I'm looking to fill out a show in BR by adding a band from the New Orleans area, but I don't know more than a handful of the original bands in the area that play rock music.

This thread is a pretty good indicator of how much of a slog booking shows is.

Yep, reach out to a dozen bands, 2 responses. Everyone wants a better music scene, every band wants to play shows, but no one wants to commit to a gig or show up to a show on a given day. Most people really just want to b$&@h and make fun of others for not being as cultured as they are. It's just the way it is.
I've reached out to Breton Sound and Paris Avenue already as well as most of the usual BR suspects.
