I saw them open for 3 Doors Down at Murray State in 2000. They weren’t bad then.

They're a generic band with no emotion in their writing. Yes people may know their hits but only because radio played the shite out of them. I honestly don't know a single person that bought their albums in the early '00's.

the musical equivalent of crocs, loud mufflers, celebrity reality shows, blown up lips, etc. Simply terrible and tasteless. The music of white trash that married each other and had kids but still likes to party.

I think it was maybe Lars Ulrich that said you can't appreciate them until you see them live. Or something to that effect.

Nickelback is a decent band and Chad Kroeger takes entirely too much shite for writing catchy tunes that a lot of people seem to like. I've never understood the fat girl/moped dynamic that exists for admitting you like them.
