The riff in the intro that is also in the chorus has some Kill Em All Era vibes. I like it.

Like it. Sounds like disc 1 garage inc. Vocally and music. very new wave brit metal. Also really like the new Megadeth album. Also has a few songs with the old tyme metal sound. Happy to see they are saying frick it and getting back to roots.

Everyone still has other bands, I'm guessing they will mainly just do festivals, one off shows and stuff like the Metallica tour.

My reaction. It sounds like it took 30 seconds to write and there's no melody or hook. We'll see how the rest of the album turns, and I know a bunch love the return to "thrash", but I think it's lame as that a bunch of 60 year olds are desperately trying to prove they're not old. None of it is organic, and I'm hoping there's some other mid tempo songs with groove and James using that deep voice of his instead of his new found wailing the last 15 years

Kind of think the opposite. Chorus seemed way to hooky and on the nose for a thrash song. And the sound seems too polished for a thrash band. All flash and no real angst. Not really the band's fault, though, considering they're multi-millionaires.

That's my problem. They're trying way too hard to have a hook, but it doesn't work. Hetfield just doesn't seem to come up with them the way he used to and it just ends up being corny as hell. It's like they've turned into Avenged Sevenfold. They sorta sound like Metallica but it ends up just being silly
