Chill out there. Only Children is top-tier Isbell. Dreamsicle and River are good too.

I can't listen to Isbell. He's too much of a mega-douche to support.

Disagree.

My music rating system: Place songs from different albums against each other. If Song A is way better than Song B it gets 3 points. If Song A is an average amount better it gets 2 points. If it is slightly better it gets 1.

1. Last of My Kind vs What’ve I Done to Help (3 Pts)
2. Cumberland Gap vs Dreamsicle (2)
3. Tupelo vs Only Children (2)
4. White Man’s World vs Overseas (3)
5. If We Were Vampires vs Running With Our Eyes Closed (3)
6. Anxiety vs River (3)
7. Molotov vs Be Afraid (2)
8. Chaos and Clothes vs St. Peter’s Autograph (Push)
9. Hope the High Road vs It Gets Easier (1)
10. Something to Love vs Letting You Go (Push)

Reunions wins 10-9

Nothing on Reunions comes close to Last of My Kind and Vampires but as a whole it is better. Anxiety and White Man’s World suck

I think What I’ve Done to Help and Be Afraid the only two SJW ones imo. It Gets Easier, River, Dreamsicle, and Running With our Eyes Closed are my personal favorites.

Have a friend who is about 4 years sober she said it’s incredible how much she can relate to It Gets Easier.

Unlike most ITT, I don’t care for Overseas too much. Not bad but probably the bottom tier of the album for me.

ETA: Live from Alabama is a good album by him from 2012. Does a few DBT songs.

I don’t think What’ve I Done to Help is SJW at all. If you look at the lyrics, it just seems like it’s about a man, possibly a criminal, who has done a lot of wrong and wishes he had done more.

This is what I get from the lyrics also.

Overall its a meh album. Only Children is the only one I consider a great song. The lyrics of Letting You Go hit me hard since I just became a dad to a daughter, but the song's melody is cheesy and the song feels forced.

I've been holding out hopes for years that we will get another Southeastern quality album, but it seems like that part of his life is over.

I like Sirens, but I do prefer the higher production quality of Southeastern, SMTF, Here We Rest and whatnot.

A few folks are eager to be offended even at the mention of his name now

Song title had me rolling my eyes before I listened to it...

But its actually the opposite of what I expected. I quite enjoyed the message.

I’ve listened to it more and admit my error. Only Children and River are good too.
