One of my Top Ten favorite albums - "New Day" one of my Top Fifty favorite songs.

And if you like this album you would like Captain Beyond who has some of the same members.

The Mick Cox Band - self titled. Came out in '72. He was the guitarist for Van Morrison through the 80s. Has that same sort of jazz/rock influence with a bit more slide guitar in the mix (and heavy on the brass). Only album he released - poor guy died a few years ago. Youtube has two tracks posted from the album - here's one of them: LINK

Pretty much any album by Me First And The Gimme Gimmes.

ETA: Yes, I know they are basically a cover band, but I love what they do with the songs. Pretty cool side project with some good ska/punk/rock musicians.

Solid. In the vein of Mike Patton, I'd also add Fantomas.

Loved that band. Drove cross country once rocking to Voodoo Highway the whole way. Great stuff. Wish those CD's were affordable.

I owned that Donny Most album. Won it at a Pelicans game, he was a celebrity guest playing home run derby before the game in the dome. They drew seat numbers and mine was called and I won the album.
Pretty bad album but I did own it

Loved that band

So did I what I loved most about them was they didn't sound like an "80's band" I just rediscovered them on youtube and that still holds true today it doesn't sound dated at all to me.
