I used to agree in college, but as I've gotten older I've realized that the mood just gets thrown off because the lyrics to these songs are so fkn stupid.

For example,

"I come around, she leave that **** like he ain't matter. That girl been drinkin' all day, need to change bladder." - The Weeknd "Often"

Really sensual sound, but for the love of God, could you write a more retarded lyric?

I'd much prefer something instrumental like Satriani, electronic like Koan, or bluesy like Beth Hart.
