For me, this album is a math brain/engineers dream in the song sequence/layout. I'm very nearly musically illiterate but I know the things I like so forgive me if this makes no sense.

The album for me puts me in mind of a bell curve, starts off with a certain feel/tone progresses up to peak near in the 3rd (of 5) track than migrates back down. I find it both compelling and soothing to listen to.

I know, I'm a nerd. Excuse me while I go listen to Wish You Were Here

First off, I don't think live albums should be included in the discussion.

Marvin Gaye - What's Goin' On
Yes - Close to the Edge
The Beatles - Abbey Road
Steely Dan - Aja
Van Halen - Fair Warning
Frank Sinatra - In the Wee Small Hours
Albert King - Born Under a Bad Sign
The Doors - The Doors
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Crosby, Stills, and Nash - Self Titled
Michael Jackson - Thriller

Makes perfect sense to me, dude. My favorite Pink Floyd album. It's a must-own for anyone who collects vinyl.

Super album. May not answer the OP, but great nonetheless.

Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Armed Forces
The Pretenders - The Pretenders
The Vapors - New Clear Days
The Breeders - Last Splash
Gorillaz - Demon Days

But to pull one completely out of left field, the album I’ve listened to more start to finish than any other in my collection since I discovered it last summer:

One to add if it hasn’t been already.

The Bends - Radiohead

I usually rediscover it every couple of years and fall in love again with each track.
