they supposed to be releasing a new album very soon.

yeah, I read that....in 1993.

Hopefully they will, but it can't be the same. Just too long between records. But I will download it.

Lush - For Love

<--saw lush live at tippitinas in 1992, flaming lips opened up. I tried to hit on miki during the flaming lips opening session. #fail

I only remember trying to hit on miki, the fight during the flaming lips set. I remember liking Lush.

Also saw them in 94 at howling wolf's?

I love Ladykillers and 500(Shake Baby Shake) but never lumped them in this category.

maybe you can throw in Catherine Wheel?

These guys have some good stuff. Saw them open for INXS in New Orleans a loooong time ago.

Catherine Wheel had one of my favorite songs from the '90's:
Black Metallic

Also, if Jesus & Mary Chain counts as shoegaze, that would definitely be my favorite.

Sunny Day Real Estate (then the lone Fire Theft album they released) will always be my favorite of the genre.

But Pandora delivered this to me one day. Great album

one of my all times faves, but never thought of them as shoegaze in the slightest. unless people consider rites of spring shoegaze.

Different views i guess. Alot of the newer shoegaze bands seem to draw alot of them.

I recently discovered Amusement Parks on Fire. Holy shite its good.

It was the loudest show ever. only 3/5 tho.

10/10 here. A dude in front of me, who apparently did not take the free earlplugs at the door, was curled up on the floor in a fetal position with fingers in his ears the whole show. Poor soul. Even with the earplugs and 30 feet from the stage, the sound vibrated and shook your body/guts like some kinds of experimental weapon. Shocking, to say the least.

These are obvious but my three fav shoegaze albums are:

Ride - Nowhere
MBV - Loveless
Slowdive - Souvlaki

These three are just essential IMO!
