First off, I’ve been a huge fan, and I’ve been dying to see to this band for some time now. They’re old songs hit hard. And for the most part it was great.

I have to post here after seeing the positing about their new album. And I’m gonna be brutally honest.

Their new album sucks imo. Thought that while listening to it, but decided to give them a chance, maybe it would be better live.

It was even worse live. Their entire encore was piano (sorry but a metal band having a full piano encore sucks when you’re jacked up) The new songs were straight garbage. Luckily it was free through my company, and I can’t believe posters on here claiming that their new album “is good for the genre”. It wasn’t good live, and it wasn’t good in the studio. They have so many bangers. Their new album ruined that concert for me. Just a forewarning for fans of theirs. They were better live 5 years ago.

I find the new album interesting, but not overly good as a whole. I don't mind them experimenting as it worked out well the with The Stage and they're just taking it further.

I haven't seen them live since 2018 but I could imagine a similar opinion with the new material. It doesn't seem to translate well.

When I go see A7X I want to see Unholy Confessions, Beast and Harlot, The Stage, Nightmare, etc, not a piano show.
City of Evil is one of my favorite albums of all time.

Haven't seen them live but I can attest that their new album does indeed suck bad.

Saw them live at Rockville this year, they sounded incredible. I thought the new songs sounded better live (more energy), especially Nobody with the thick-sounding riff.

I do understand the frustration with the encore. G O D to close is weird but I'm glad they are playing it. I do not understand leaving with just the piano ballad playing. They have tried new things and taken risks their whole career.

Different does not always mean good.

I gave it a chance and don’t like it. Some of the guitar work is impressive, though.

Been a fan since Nightmare came out in 2010, really wish they'd go back to that sound/earlier stuff. I didn't even like The Stage for the most part, let alone the new record

I understand how bands want to evolve & they are open about how they never want to do the same album twice. But there is a difference between tinkering with your sound & going into becoming a Hard Rock/Metal version of Radiohead. Sometimes going a different route just doesn't sound right.

I'm bummed that the dates don't line up for me to see them on this tour.

I wanted to be this guy, but it ended up being the album of the summer for me. I think it's weird how much hate it gets around here.

Are you saying they just played the last track on the album over the PA? Or are you saying they performed it? If the former, it seems like genius to me. Reminds me of when Pantera played Planet Caravan over the PA after the last performed song during the Far Beyond Driven tour.

Well, that's good - because you're not getting a "piano show" on the current tour.

I thought the new album was the perfect mix of who they've been over the years. Cosmic is incredible.
