So I saw John Fulbright last night in Texas. What a voice!

Has he been mentioned here before?
I got into him because of the board's recommendation on John Moreland (another great Oklahoma singer/songwriter).

Either way, Fullbright was terrific live. Killer on piano and harmonica. Killer voice. Check him out.

Tomball, TX (just north of Houston)

It's a great little venue called Main Street Crossing (seats maybe 100 to 125 I would guess).

He’s an original member of Turnpike if I’m not mistaken. He still plays with them from time to time and writes songs with Evan Felker.

If you like J Fullbright, check out Parker Millsap. Another great Oklahoma based artist.

He's alright. But that Gawd Above song is horrendous.

He's good. I like the song 'Happy'. Saw him last year at the Kessler in Dallas

That “Songs” record is really damn good, even if “Very First Time” is missing from the LP

He's a frequent performer at our Roots Fest. Got to see him at 2am on a baby grand in a house with all of us just standing around the piano while he played and sang.

He puts on a really good live show and is a hell of a nice guy.

I'll be happy if I never hear Happy again.

He absolutely is. "When You're Here" is possibly my favorite song of all time.

My amazing friend had him leave me a voicemail one night and it is my absolute prized possession. If I ever accidentally lose it I will cry

Love the Blue Door album and the first album, don't love Songs. It's good, but just too slow. Like people have said, he's a beast live. That is how i'd introduce him to someone.

He IS an original member of Turnpike, and he apparently used to date Ev's sister Cheyenne..."Every Girl" is supposedly about her.
