I can believe that about the bass. Watching to a 70 concert on YouTube

and can't even hear a bass at times

I noticed but I could distinguish from bass player

FWIW The Rascals didn't have a bass player either

Studio bass. They didn’t have a bass player on tour.
Ray just used his left hand.

A huge loss…. He was a poet that turned it into music like no other……

His grave site is a must see in Paris. Was fortunate enough to be there in 1992

I have been to his gravesite as well. people leave joints on it ... its pretty cool and eerie at the same time . Was never a big Doors fan but Morrison Hotel is a wicked great album

The chick that was there before us did a little hippie dance ritual and left a burning candle on his gravestone.

I thought he used the foot peddles?

I became a Doors fan later in life. 27 is so damn young. No telling how great they could've been. LA Woman is one of my favorite songs ever.

One of my all time favorite bands, and favorite band of the late 60s era.

Pride of Melbourne, FL. Never much of a Doors fan. Just odd music. LA Woman is a great driving song.
That said, Jim Morrison was a really great vocalist.

I have been to his grave. He is buried in the most beautiful cemetery I have ever seen - Pere Lachaisse in Paris.

Allegedly
I will swear until the day that I did that I met him about 10 years ago in Paris by Sacre Cour. The guy I chatted with was an artist.

As Hunter S. Thompson said, when Morrison felt like it, the Doors could play with anyone.
When you grow up, you will cringe at the way you once name-dropped these two self absorbed losers in an effort sound cool.
