Thanks, of course I am! He actually played on HBO's "Treme" this past season (he played "Tipitina" with Kermit Ruffins) and will be playing at the WWOZ/Zatarain's Jazz Tent this coming Sunday at 11:15 with the NOCCA Jazz Band.

So what are the chances that a taper got any of the DMB show recorded on Sunday? I would have loved to have made it there, but had to work early today.

I'm guessing slim to none, but was wondering if anyone saw anything

Calexico (Gentilly Stage Sunday)--Rock with a Latin tinge, great horns, and killer guitars.

Agreed. I wanted that 3 pick-up funky looking Airline the singer was playing. He had a great voice, too.

I really enjoyed Honey Island Swamp Band and Raw Oyster Cult as well.

I zoomed in and took a pic of that guitar--it also had more knobs than I've ever seen. I'll have to load it up and post. Honey Island was awesome too--we went right over there after Calexico.

I'm glad Fiya Fest is indoors on Friday. It's going to be a highlight of Jazz Fest for sure.

I'm sneaking out of work at noon, although sneaking is the wrong term. I'm just going to not fine back after lunch and deal with whatever he'll comes on Monday.

Caught their set Sun at JF just about the time the rain set in. Fantastic collaboration of local musicians from funk and brass bands. This is their first time playing outside the fairgrounds.

Did anyone check out the maple leaf last night? The trio and Ivan Neville were playing, but it started at 11 and I wasn't sure how long Ivan would be playing so I didn't make it.

Meters experience at the square yesterday after work was actually really good and the opening band, I think they were called the perpetrators, rocked out.
