Is Led Zeppelin The Most Overrated Band Of All Time?

This is easy. Any time someone posts on the internet and asks:

"Is BLANK the ADJECTIVE CATEGORY of ALL TIME?"

The answer is no. Every single time.

at least nirvana didn't steal peoples songs like led zeppelin did and call them their own.

Zeppelin did do that, but they also created a ton of original, fantastic music on their own. You could eliminate all of the songs they stole:
Rock and Roll
Dazed and Confused
Livin Lovin' Maid
When the Levee Breaks
Black Dog

etc, and they STILL have one of the best and deepest catalogs of music of any band.

ol Syd founded pink Floyd. Gilmour was a decent filler. Thankfully Waters and Wright stuck around to maintain success.

Who cares???? If you think "See Emily Play" is a better hit than "Time", then you need therapy like Syd. Gilmour a filler? By filler, do you mean heart and soul?

ETA: Waters and Wright AND mason were all excellent musicians, but I do not see how they are head and shoulders above Gilmour. Personally, I love the combo if Waters and Gilmour as much as I loved Staley and Cantrell.

Pink Floyd is held up as the end all be all, but some of their stuff is cringe-inducing bad in retrospect.

Any band.

Anyone who thinks DSOTM and Animals is cringeworthy has issues.

Zepplin is/was awesome. Probably the second most influential band of that era.

DSOTM, Wish You Were Here, Animals, Meddle and I suppose The Wall as well, though thats my least favorite of those 5.

4-5 GREAT albums.

Zeppelin, also, can't be defined by one sound...and that is typical with great bands (R.E.M., for instance, never did the exact same thing).

Do you like "Your Time is Gonna Come" and "Whole Lotta Love" or are you more about "Gallow's Pole" and "Travellin' Riverside Blues" or are you more into "Carouselambra" and "All of My Love"?

How can a band that's so interchangeable be the most overrated? LZ was brilliant, even with the copy-cats. Bonzo might just be what keeps them from being plagiarists.

By the way, that honor belongs to The Foo Fighters. "All My life..." = worst song I have ever heard.

The Syd stuff was horrible at best....... Gilmour defined the bands sound for the next 40 + years. Filler? yeah that's a good one. Best laugh I have had in a while.

31 downvotes and zero upvotes. Lol

Sarcasm detector is broken here.

I do not actually believe KISS is better than Zepplin.

Zepplin is my GOAT vote for all time band.
