Of the “Rock Era” (1955-present), is 1994 the most stacked calendar year musically? Height of the alt-rock and country boom periods. East Coast/West Coast hip hop hitting its peak. Even the pop charts are loaded if you check out Billboard from that year.

I know many will point to years like ‘67 or ‘68 but as far as versatility, variety, and quality combined, I’d say ‘94 is tough to top.

The Eagles did get back together in '94, and gave us this. So yes.

No. It would be a year from the seventies. Easily the greatest decade. I'll go w/ '71. 1971

I was going to say no...then I remembered some of the stuff that came out in '94.

Sabatoge - Beastie Boys

Come out and Play - Offspring

Loser - Beck

There was some pretty good stuff that came out that year.

I'm partial to 1967, specifically that summer.

The worst year in music between 1967 and 1987 is still better than any year in the 90s.

NO...the 50's and 60's were the best and most creative...music today is overall terrible and boring....

It's a shame, you missed your mark. If you had asked this on The Movie Board you would have been right.

People only remember the hits from classic rock. There were piles and piles of one hit wonders and derivative mediocrity in those years, just like any other year. And some stuff that was memorable simply for being shite.

There were great bands/artist that flew under the radar.

The quality is light years beyond the "DJ Khalid" abyss we are in now.
