Mozart. It would be fascinating to get his thoughts on the 221 years of music since his death, not to mention hearings its influence on his new compositions. Out of the more contemporary musicians, Hendrix would be the one.

I would've brought back Lennon. He was just starting to get that itch and had plans for a world tour in '81-'82.

The Beatles would have recorded together again, and, perhaps, would have toured. They were discussing the possibilities.

And, I'll throw in Hendrix and Duane Allman.

Without hesitation my first thought is always Shannon Hoon, simply because he was literally just warming up. Soup was a great album and was a clear sign there was more greatness to come.

I always want to lean on Hendrix, Lennon, etc, but those guys had a ton of music already produced that was already deemed historical at the time.

As a fan of Alice in Chains, Staley would have killed himself anyway, and AIC was on the outs already.

As for Cobain...eh. We wouldn't have the Foo Fighters, which are 10X better than anything Nirvana would ever be.

So, long story short, rewind to 96 (I think) bring me back Shannon Hoon, and give me some time to listen to the amazing BlindMelon albums we missed.

Freddy Mercury or Dimebag are the two right off the top of my head...

Hendrix?
Bon Scott?

Was Jim Morrison a musician??

It would have to be Jim, or Hank Williams. IMO
