I'm just running a 3.5mm cord. None of our docks are bluetooth, but my wife bought a dongle from Hastings that she uses with her iPhone. My phone does not recognize it, but may after the new Windows update.

anyone deal with FLAC or lossless files?

Is the sound that much improved that it warrants using these over an mp3?

It depends on the encoding rate of the mp3 but in general yes, there's a pretty big improvement in quality. If you encode your mp3's at 256k or higher, then it's not too bad especially if you use a good encoder like lame. Lower bitrates introduce substantial artifacts.

I have most of my music on my iPhone that I listen to with a pair of over the ear noise canceling Bowers & Wilkins headphones that sound like a personal concert in my ear! these are great because they sound better and better as I use them!

With my Vinyl collection I have a 76' Dual turntable with a Marantz Receiver through two Klipsch Speakers! This system creates a fat sound that really enhances the rawness of the vinyls!

car, ipod (earphones or speakers in my room/bathroom). If I'm feeling really good I'll put in a live show on DVD

Do you use a headphone amp with those B&W's or do you have em plugged right into the iPod?

I just plug then into the iPod.

But that's a great idea and sounds like my next investment!
Can you suggest any good ones?

LINK

This one gets a lot of good reviews and its pretty cheap. Read that when you have a good set of cans, using one of these will improve the sound quality even more.

The sound is miles above an MP3.

I typically use my OPPO BDP-105 as the source and Polk RtiA7s as the speakers. Currently using on Onkyo 708 as the amp but that will soon be upgraded to separate amp and preamp.

Nice set up.

You use an Ipod with Lossless for the music?

Whats the best way to get a hold of these?

Is there a good website that is dedicated to Lossless and FLAC? What do you use to get them?

You can rip it from cd's or use websites like HDTracks. Takes some time and read their FAQ, it might help answer your questions.
