Are you so dense that you can’t discern the difference between me not caring what you like, or what you think of what I like and the bullshite reasoning you gave for it?

As I said, get into whatever you want. But don’t make up reasoning or bullshite excuses for why you dislike whatever you don’t get into.

As far as e-muscles...if you mean me pointing out that you don’t know wtf you’re talking about in this thread then...okay I guess. Call it whatever you want. I do have a penchant for not suffering dumbasses very well. I apologize for you bringing that weakness out in me

When the ad hom. and intellect attacks come out, you know a man is triggered over his chick music. Rock on, brother

Your thread title and content agree with this assessment.

I really like some of his stuff, and don't care what anyone else thinks about that. He's got some damn good tune.

This. All day. Also, if you’ve listened to “I was wrong” or “midnight train to Memphis” or a couple of other of his songs and think it’s chick or bro country, then you just flat out don’t like his music and never will and really don’t want to. Nothing wrong with that.

I do NOT like Tennessee Whiskey. I think the fact that he performed that song with JT on an awards show made it more than it actually was. It's boring and tired, and I just don't get it.

Alan Jackson said Chris is more Southern rock than country.

1. This was either an obvious troll thread or just dumb.

2. I like (not love) Chris Stapleton's music. Some of it is very, very good though.

3. I think we live in a time where we tend to overrate everyone on country radio who isn't bro country. I don't dislike Cody Jinks, but I've listened to hist latest album a few times and it just doesn't feel special. Its fine country music, but in MY opinion it isn't as OMG as people make it out to be.

I agree with this 100%

Traveller really was a great album, but both of the albums he released last year werent. Each had a couple of good songs, but you could tell that they just added some songs and broke it into two albums to sell more records. Yet, he is applauded as the savior of country music, when his stuff would just be run of the mill stuff in the 80s and 90s.

You are also correct about Jinks. I love Cody. Im Not the Devil was one of the best albums of the decade, and Adobe was excellent as well, but this new album is just boring. Its safe, and if it was put out by a no name, no one would bat an eye.

This, but it’s understandable. People who listen to country radio are like someone dying of dehydration in a desert who is fed nothing but saltwater. When every now and then, a little stagnant freshwater pond scum comes their way, they guzzle it like the finest champagne. The sad thing is that simply by virtue of NOT being shitty bro country, they are exceptional. That’s how starved country fans are for actual country music.

They all hype him up like he’s on the level of Willie and Waylon, but man this stuff is girl music. Definitely won’t be on our Dallas Cowboys tailgate mix this season

Weak troll. I like CS overall but not every song. Please tell me which songs classify as girl or bro country?

Whether you like him or not his style of music/ content is much closer to Willie, Waylon or Merle than it is anything else on the radio.

That's pretty much a fact. If you had a scale of who on the radio right now was closer to that style of music, he'd be at the top. I'm not arguing that he does compare, but he is without a doubt the closet thing currently.

I'll concede the fact that doesn't say much about the current state of country music.

Willie was a solidified legend at that point. It was an honor for those people to play with him.
