You're kind of right but those B-sides tend to feature heavily on Marr's heavy playing and not the other played out tunes.

I know this is an unpopular opinion. I'll own it though.

Let me throw another unpopular opinion out there.

Echo & the Bunnymen >>> The Smiths
Ian McCulloch >>> Morrissey

You have terrible taste. The Smiths were one of the best bands, ever.

I could see people thinking that way. E&TB are under rated. People do not realize how many songs they have. Many think they are a one hit wonder.

In what way?

No I don't. I like X, The Connells and the first 4 REM albums.

It is their only album....their other stuff is just angry teenage drivel painted over pretty chords and poorly recorded drums...

My bad... I obviously missed the “one great album” requisite of the thread. I just read “horrible bands,” and they automatically came to mind.

I would agree with this. CDAWG has the best taste in music on this entire board. (Self included). If he told me to experience a rap polka artist, I probably would give it a go. Word is gold.

I will go Quiet Riot on the one great album. Condition Critical was a rehashed disappointment.

Pearl Jam - Ten

Outside of a handful of songs I honestly hate them. Most overrated band in history.

Vs and Vitalogy were very good albums. Pearl Jam definitely doesn't belong here.

Edit to state besides Ten. Ten of course is a masterpiece.

You're right that Pearl Jam may not belong here, but that's because even Ten is arguably only a decent, but not a great, album. Frankly Pearl Jam sucks and I never fail to be astonished how many people apparently enjoy them. No accounting for tastes, I guess.

Sponge is a great pick.

Veruca Salt-American Thighs was good. I hate everything else they did.
