I'm a hard rock fan. From Sabbath to Tool, I have three decades of music in my playlist.

That's the problem. I haven't explored new music in a while.

Please give me your top ten. I don't mind if it's albums or songs.

Top ten recent or all time? I'm pretty sure bands like Sabbath, Maiden, and Metallica are gonna be in everybody's top ten all time.

Nice catch. I wasn't clear.

I'm looking for recommended new stuff.

Some of the bigger names from the past 20 years or so to check out would be Clutch, Mastodon, Opeth, Ghost, Lamb of God, and Killswitch Engage.

Thanks!

I have some clutch already. I've seen Mastodon open for Tool. I'll give them all a closer listen.

If you like Pantera, definitely try Lamb of God and Soulfly.

Crobot is a good up and coming hard rock band. Same for RIval Sons.

Again, with "recent" being relative, Sevendust is solid for my money.

Killswitch Engage - As Daylight Dies
Great album from 2006. I’m mostly into older metal and 90s rock as well but this album resonated with me.

Porcipine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet

While not a new band, it's likely it's new to you. These guys are incredible, and they are up there in the Tool category for me.

You're welcome

Wish I still lived in Houston. I'd be there! Unfortunately I can't make the trip for this one. While his solo stuff is not the greatness of PT (GAVIN!!!!), it's still quite good. I'd love to see his solo show

The Dead Weather is worth a try I believe.

A couple others that are decent are Greta Van Fleet and Motion Device but that may not be exactly your cup of tea.
