Are they even trying anymore?? This looks like a lineup of losers who are trying to stay relevant and then there's Cardi B.

GoldenVoice took it over in 2016 and gradually has turned it into Coachella/Buku Lite East. Hence the massive nose dive to suck. R.I.P. Hangout Fest. My money is to the best festival next year...Jazz Fest 50.

It isn't just Hangout

All the big time fests have lineups like this now

18 y/os are driving the market. There's not much reason to go to any of the big mainstream festivals anymore if you're an adult

"O" for 58. Not an easy failure to pull off. Takes focus to suck this bad.

Damn shame they’ve fallen so far. The 2011 lineup was incredible, 75% of the bands were worth seeing:

Widespread Panic

Primus
Ween
Pretty Lights
Slightly Stoopid
Umphrey's McGee
The Avett Brothers
Big Gigantic
Motörhead
Cee-Lo Green
Girl Talk
Matisyahu
Warren Haynes Band
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Drive-By Truckers
Beats Antique
Easy Star All-Stars
Amos Lee
JJ Grey & MOFRO
Michael Franti and Spearhead
Old Crow Medicine Show
Keller Williams
Galactic
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue
Portugal. The Man
Medeski, Martin and Wood
Xavier Rudd
Minus the Bear
Dead Confederate
Mariachi El Bronx
Civil Twilight
Rival Sons
Brandi Carlile
Karl Denson's Tiny Universe
Soja
Railroad Earth
Greensky Bluegrass

I usually defend festival lineups because I like all kinds of music. This lineup blows.

I’d maybe go see Travis Scott, but there’s probably 3 names total on that lineup I even occasionally listen to. Awful.

I was too exhausted to stay for the Travis Scott set that night of Voodoo, but I heard it was horrible. He apparently kept switching to the next song when other artists’ parts would come up in his song. Which, being realistic, 90% of his songs feature other artists.

but yea lineup basically has decided to market itself to teenagers

Was just about to ask why such a downturn in the lineup over the years. I get having bands for them but you need to have a few that appeal to the upper end of 18-35. They are the ones with money.

Country Superfest went for the bands that appeal to teens. They had enough money to go and a bottle or two of water
