Any criteria for your decision is welcomed.

What exactly are we comparing between the two?

Clapton probably a better technician on the guitar.
Harrison definitely a better singer and songwriter.

All Things Must Pass > Any Clapton album except for Layla and that was because it was a supergroup and included Duane Allman.

Clapton knows more about tennis. Harrison knew more about Formula One.

Harrison and it's not even that close for me. Clapton is probably the better guitarist but there's more to it.

To me it's more like lobster and steak. Surf and Turf if you will.
Vienna sausage would be more like Boy George not George H..however I used to like vienna sausage but never liked Boy Hore-hay
Clapton is kind of defined as a blues guitarist with a rough voice and pretty r&b.
Harrison was an incredible songwriter and a more melodic guitar player than strictly blues. It's amazing that the Beatles had George in a addition to Mac/Len.

Clapton in the Dominos was at his peak as a singer/songwriter and as a smokin guitarist.

This. George is one of the best slide players ever. His tone, melodic phrasing, and control were really exceptional.
