Saw him live two weeks ago, absolutely amazing.
Dude feels it so hard.
Edit: Catfish Blues is my favorite.

Best young blues artist out there. One of my current favorites.

I love the guy, but Derek Trucks would be the top dog.

I'm so pumped, GC Jr. just announced a surprise show in DC the night before the Foo Fighters 20th Anniversary gig at RFK Stadium in DC this Saturday.
I got really lucky to score tickets, sold out so fast.
Sorry for my cool story bro.

first time I head him was the 2010 crossroads DVD. Then he ended up playing in Laffy for Festival Internationale. Made sure to spread the word about how good the guy is and me and a bunch of friends went. I ran into him in JSP later, cool guy. Also met Robert Randolph the night before.
His live stuff is a lot better than his album. There are some great tracks on his album like When My Train Pulls In, and one that really translates well onto a record is You Saved Me. But there are some tracks that are kinda meh. The live album is great.

From start to finish his live album is one of my favorite albums I own.
His studio album is good...just not as good as his live album.

I agree; there's a few bright spots on his album but most of it just sounds like he's trying to mix R&B and blues.
"When My Train Comes In" is great, though. I discovered him after watching "Chef"

Saw him in late 2009 at HOB houston when he opened for Derek Trucks. My dad had been battling cancer and really wanted to go to the show with me. He ended up going and after seeing Gary Clark Jr, said to me...Man that guy is good! That ended up being my dad's last concert to see, but at least he went out on a great one.
