This cover band, Leonid and Friends, is fricking incredible. Their 25 or 6 to 4 cover is almost spot on.

As a Chicago fan, I was prepared to be disappointed. But, that was better than respectable.

Cetera's voice is too unique to duplicate, but this singer had a really clear voice quality that worked. The rest of the band was on point, too, especially with the harmonies.

Thanks for bringing these guys to my attention.

Wish they tackled more mainstream covers. They are talented though

Surprised to find out that these guys are freakin' Russians! Of course, the name should have been a hint...Leonid and Friends.

For those around Baton Rouge, Hai Karate does some badass Chicago covers among other things.

Never heard of them, but looked them up and found this video of them at Live After 5. LINK

Looks like they'd be fun to check out. In this 2 hour video plus (that I scanned quickly), they play a few Chicago songs, Steely Dan, and lots of funk. Good horn section, keyboards, and the guitarist is great.

They're mostly high school and middle school band directors and music instructors (and one auto mechanic). Badass instrumentalists all. They also have an album of originals

Bump...

They recently released their video for Questions 67 and 68.

These dudes found someone that can successfully sing Cetera's parts without the flaming douche factor.

At what point did the awesome Chicago transition into the cheesy power-ballad Chicago? What isi considered the last must-own album?

For me, the last 'rock' album is VIII. Kath is all over that one. I think it went downhill with 'If You Leave Me Now' which is on X.
