I saw Kiss Tuesday night in Columbia SC. I was surprised how good it was.. Really good show. Diamond Dave opened up. Anybody else going to see them?

I saw them last February in New Orleans. Also saw them in Lafayette during the Farewell tour in 2000.

They are great entertainers.

It’s all about the showmanship. I loved it.

How was his part of the show? I saw some videos of a recent show of his that wasn't too good.

I was indifferent about Roth, because like you, I heard and saw video of him struggling. But he did alright. I was pleasantly surprised. Of course he didn’t do those high notes but he did well.

Saw them about 10 years ago and again last September. Really enjoyed both shows.

Going to see them in a few weeks in Biloxi - got 11th row tickets because I was on a KISS binge when they went on sale (read the 4 biographies and a couple other KISS books, learned a few more of their classic songs on guitar). This will be my 4th time seeing them. First time was in ‘79.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out Dave is opening. Saw Van Halen in their prime and I rank DLR as the greatest front man ever.

1979 Hirsch Coliseum in S'port. Talked my mother into letting my uncle take me to the concert. Walked in the venue and the smoke was so thick it felt as if you had to cut your way to your seat. Sit down and the lights dimmed and the ganja smell cranked up. A joint was being passed down the aisle and I grabbed it (9 years old) and my uncle swiped it from my hand and said your mother would kill me if you did that as he iron lunged the joint and passed it down.

I've been hooked on live music ever since. Those guys are showmen and I've seen them every decade since.

Kiss shows blow others out the water. Sound is tight and always put on a crazy stage show. Just wish they would play songs from Revenge and Carnival of Souls. As a kiss fan those are my two of my favorite albums. I'm going again to see them in Lafayette. This time bringing my 15 year old metal head son.

got tickets for the show in laffy.

I love their "show". And even thought it's not cool to way on this board, i enjoy their music. Grew up listening to them in the 70s.

I'm glad to hear, it was sad seeing those videos. He did seem full of energy and moving around in them pretty good. I've been thinking on whether to go the show in Lafayette in a few weeks.

I saw KISS back in ‘79 @ the Centroplex. My aunt took me and my uncle (her younger brother). She painted my face like Gene Simmons and there were these dudes at the end of our row who were smoking grass. The opening act was New England. Whatever happened to those crackpots?

Was at that concert, actually saw New England twice around that time. Might even have an album of theirs lying around somewhere. Don’t think I can remember any of their songs. They disappeared quickly.

That’s where I saw them in ‘79 too. It was my first KISS concert (I was 13) but second concert - before KISS I had seen Queen at the Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans in ‘78.
