This has to be the third time you've done this to me

Oh, hell yes, and Girlfriend isn't one of them. Sick of Myself, I've Been Waiting, and We're The Same are probably my candidates. It was mind blowing to me to research Television and their connections only to later learn that Richard Lloyd and Robert Quine both played with Matthew.

Yep. The chord progression and tone are absolute pop perfection. Plus I learned what meth was.

Prince vs. Michael

Best vocals: Michael, everything out of Michael's mouth in the recording studio was basically perfect and lovely to the ears-angelic, Prince, though versatile as Michael in ways, wasn't as appealing and trained and therefore very raw and sometimes uncomfortable with the raspy falsetto

Best music/support sound: Tie, Prince was a music powerhouse in terms of creating his Wall of Sound and composing some of the best riffs ever recorded this side of the Stones and the Beatles, plus he was a fricking dynamo at keyboards and guitar in terms of soloing. Michael, though he didn't play the instruments, had a brilliant compositional nature for a hook, riff or groove and executed that to perfection and created arguably the most recognizable riffs this side of the Beatles in history plus everything that he recorded was so refined that all was just so damn clear.

Best dancing ability: Michael, dude was a legit human robot who practiced his moves as much as Kobe or MJ practiced their basketball brilliance, everything he did was so precise and effortless, it appeared above us humans. Prince was great and dynamic in his own right but his moves were very derivative of James Brown and some of it was so easy even I could do it and there's nothing he could do that was greater than Jackson and how precise Jackson was so y'all will never get me to agree that Prince was a better dancer than Michael like zero chance.

I'd take If I Could Talk I'd Tell You and Into Your Arms over that one. It's a shame that radio only knows of their big cover song.

Pixies and Lemonheads are certainly alternative but those songs are very poppy.

I don’t really consider Every Breath You Take or Boys Of Summer as pop either.
