Is that true? I missed that. Sucks if true. They do make reference to Idaho, which Evan has been linked to during his absence.

I have seen nothing about him since the hiatus, and i’ve tried to find stuff every week or so.....been wondering what he’s been up to, hoping it was rehab

I was glad to see something released by him earlier this week, but I thought the single was pretty average compared to the other songs he's related to.
On the positive side, hopefully this is a good sign that he is close to coming back.

Most positive thing I've seen is that his wife/ex/whatever posted about the new song. Per Reddit (who knows) they're back together to some extent.
I can only assume that'll be better for him in the long run. May have already been back with her at time of the break up but stands to reason she'd be a better stabilizing/healthy force than whatever was going on when the spiral began.
